Scimitar for Ptah
A Word From Tyra:
An offering to the god of craftspeople, sculptors, and architects. I created this scimitar as an offering to Ptah. A way to invite the warrior spirit into my creative practice. It can be such a fight to show up and build and create and push boundaries. To forever learn. To create work that holds meaning.
Ptah is an Egyptian deity and archetype I'm regularly influenced by. My studio mark is based on the glyph that represents Ptah, a staff combining the Ankh, Djed, and Was. To engage with the energy of creation as divinity, as a gift from beyond, has always resonated with me.
