This piece is an exploration in applying the taxonomy archetypes to my interpretation of a portrait. I chose to focus on the archetype of Venus.
 
Venus is an archetype defined by value, intimacy, and self-worth. The concept of the divine feminine has come up more frequently as I age. I realized I rarely allow the duality of femininity itself to influence my work.
