Atrium Health Rehabilitation Center

Desert Blush
Charlotte, North Carolina — 2025
Commissioned by Skyline Art

Created for a medical rehabilitation facility, this work brings warmth into a space primarily defined by function and care. The color palette centers on warm sandy browns layered with saturated purples and dusty rose tones — a combination intended to feel steady, comforting, and alive without becoming overstimulating.

The fifteen-foot composition anchors a primary interior wall, offering a continuous field of texture and color within a setting where patients and staff spend extended periods of time. The material surface carries depth and variation while remaining visually calm.

OSHA regulations required a strict maximum depth of four inches, including mounting hardware. The piece was developed to meet that limitation while maintaining the dimensional quality characteristic of the work.
